The automatic transmission fluid pump MUST be removed before installing the automatic transmission case front cover. Failure to do so may result in damage to the fluid pump driven gear and case front cover idler gear Single Use Fasteners and Components Input Shaft Support Bolt [12x] Special Tools DT-45053 Universal Clamp Press Equivalent regional tools: Special Tools

Automatic Transmission Case Front Cover Removal — figure 1

1. Input Shaft Support Bolt (1) » Remove and DISCARD [12x]
2. Install DT-45053 Universal Clamp Press (2) to the Stator Shaft Support (3).
3. Using a paint pen, mark the Automatic Transmission Case Cover and Transmission Case for orientation during installation.
