Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
2. Front Wheelhouse Liner - Right Side » Remove — Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

3. Chassis Front Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt - Rear (1) » Remove
4. Chassis Wiring Harness Front Bracket Retainer (2) » Remove [2x]
5. Chassis Front Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt - Front (3) » Remove
6. Remove the positive battery cable retainers from the chassis wiring harness front bracket.
7. Chassis Wiring Harness (4) » Reposition

8. Exhaust Front Pipe Nut (1) » Remove [2x]

9. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @ Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket (4) » Remove

10. Exhaust Temperature Sensor - Position 3 (1) » Remove and position aside
11. Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Nut (3) » Remove [2x]
12. Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket » (4) Remove

13. Engine Wiring Harness Ground Nut (2) » Remove
14. Starter Solenoid Cable (1) » Remove

15. Starter Heat Shield Bolt (3) » Remove [2x]
16. Disengage the starter heat shield (2) from the retainer (1) .

18. Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (1) » Remove
19. Wiring Harness Conduit Nut (2) » Remove
20. Starter Solenoid Cable (3) » Remove

21. Starter Bolt (1) » Remove [3x]
22. Reposition the starter (2) to access the electrical connector.

23. Reposition the protective sleeve (2).
24. Electrical Connector (1) » Disconnect

25. Remove the starter (1) through the wheel well.

26. Starter Shield Bolt (1) » Remove

27. Starter Shield Retainer (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

28. Starter Shield Retainer (2) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution

2. Starter Shield Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

3. Install the starter (1) through the wheel well.

4. Electrical Connector (1) » Connect

5. Install the protective sleeve (2).

6. Starter Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

7. Starter Solenoid Cable (3) » Install

8. Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

9. Wiring Harness Conduit Nut (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

10. Starter Heat Shield (1) » Install

11. Engage the starter heat shield (2) into the retainer (1).

12. Starter Heat Shield Bolt (3) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

13. Starter Solenoid Cable (1) » Install

14. Engine Wiring Harness Ground Nut (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

15. Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket (4) » Install

16. Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Nut (3) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

17. Exhaust Temperature Sensor - Position 3 (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

18. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @ Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket (4) » Install

19. Exhaust Front Pipe Nut (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

20. Chassis Wiring Harness (4) » Install

21. Install the positive battery cable retainers to the chassis wiring harness front bracket.

22. Chassis Front Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt - Front (3) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

23. Chassis Front Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt - Rear (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

24. Chassis Wiring Harness Front Bracket Retainer (2) » Install [2x]

25. Front Wheelhouse Liner - Right Side » Install — Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

26. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
