Diagnostic Instructions Perform the Diagnostic System Check prior to using this diagnostic procedure: Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle Review the description of Strategy Based Diagnosis: Strategy Based Diagnosis An overview of each diagnostic category can be found here: Diagnostic Procedure Instructions DTC Descriptor DTC C0552 Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Performance DTC C0553 Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Circuit Low Voltage DTC C0554 Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Circuit High Voltage Symptom Byte Information: Symptom Byte List Circuit/System Description For an overview of the component/system, refer to: ABS Description and Operation Conditions for Running the DTC The vehicle speed is greater than 16 km/h (10 MPH). Conditions for Setting the DTC Fault = Detected @ Transmission Control Module — Hill Hold System = Inactive Actions Taken When the DTC Sets Air Bag Malfunction Indicator = ON Traction/Stability Control Indicator = ON The EBCM disables the ABS, traction control, stability control and hill start assist for the duration of the ignition cycle. Conditions for Clearing the DTC The conditions for setting the DTC no longer exist. A history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles.   1. Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode
  2. Verify no other DTCs are set. ⇒ If any other DTCs are set Refer to: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle ⇓ If no other DTCs are set
  3. Replace the component: K36 Restraints Control Module
  4. Under normal operating conditions: Verify that no DTCs are set. ⇒ If the DTC sets Replace the component: that set the DTC. ⇓ If the DTC is not set
