Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose Replacement - Left Side (Long Wheel Base) Removal Procedure

Warning

Refer to SIR Warning.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

2. Move the front seat fully forward.
3. Use a flat bladed plastic tool between the center pillar center trim panel (1) and the center pillar upper trim panel to disengage the upper retaining clips (2).
4. Pull from both sides of the center pillar center trim panel (1) to release the middle and lower retaining clips (2).

6. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove
7. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Remove
8. Pull the center pillar upper trim panel (3) toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retaining clips.
9. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel (3) » Reposition

10. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
11. Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) » Remove

12. Place the rear seat (1) in the fold and tumble position.

13. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Sleeve (1) » Reposition
14. Rear Seat Belt Anchor Plate Bolt (2) » Remove

15. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove
16. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Remove

17. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
18. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Reposition

19. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
20. Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel (1) » Reposition

21. Place the coat hook (2) in the open position.
22. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Remove
23. Coat Hook (2) » Remove

24. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1).

25. Lower the left rear section of the headlining trim panel (1).

26. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (1) @ Sunroof Housing Drain Gutter » Disconnect

27. Release the sunroof housing rear drain hose clip (1).

28. Reposition the insulator as needed.

29. Release the 4 sunroof housing rear drain hose clips (1).
30. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (2) @ Rear Wheelhouse Inner Panel » Disconnect

Note

Observe the routing and location of the sunroof housing rear drain hose to ensure proper reinstallation.

31. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

32. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (2) » Install

33. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (2) @ Rear Wheelhouse Inner Panel » Connect

3. Secure the 4 sunroof housing rear drain hose clips (1).

4. Secure the sunroof housing rear drain hose clip (1).

5. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (1) @ Sunroof Housing Drain Gutter » Connect

6. Headlining Trim Panel (1) » Install

7. Apply pressure upward on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

8. Coat Hook (2) » Install

Refer to Fastener Caution.

9. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

10. Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel (1) » Install

11. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install

12. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

13. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

14. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Anchor Plate Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

15. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Sleeve (1) » Reposition

16. Return the rear seat (1) to the original position.

17. Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) » Install

18. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) » Install

19. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

20. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

21. Align 6 retaining clips (2) with the upper and lower trim panels.

22. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel (1) » Install

23. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling

24. Water test and inspect sunroof for proper operation.
