Fuel Fill Door Description and Operation

Fuel Door Release System Components Body control module (BCM) Fuel door release actuator The locking and unlocking of the fuel door is a function of the power door lock system. The fuel door release actuator is supplied by the driver door lock control circuit and the fuel door unlock control circuit. The BCM, upon receipt of a lock switch lock or unlock signal, will supply battery voltage to the door lock actuator lock or fuel door unlock control circuits. Since the opposite side of the lock actuator is connected to ground through the other lock actuator control circuit, the doors and fuel filler door will then lock or unlock as commanded.
