Warning

Brake Dust Warning Removal Procedure

1. Set the parking brake in Service Mode. Parking Brake Service Mode Selection
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
3. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.

4. Electrical Connector (1) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator » Disconnect

5. Rear Parking Brake Actuator Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]

6. Rear Parking Brake Actuator » (2) Remove
7. Rear Parking Brake Actuator Lever Seal (1) » Remove and DISCARD Installation Procedure

Note

The parking brake actuator mounting surfaces of the brake caliper must be clean and free of corrosion and debris.

1. Rear Parking Brake Actuator Lever Seal (1) » Install NEW
2. Rear Parking Brake Actuator (2) » Install

Caution

Fastener Caution

3. Rear Parking Brake Actuator Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

4. Electrical Connector (1) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator » Connect

5. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

6. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

7. Calibrate the park brake. Park Brake Calibration
