  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  3. Remove all related panels and components.
  4. Remove front fender bracket. Front Fender Bracket Replacement
  5. Remove the sealers and anti-corrosion materials from the repair area as necessary. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair

  1. Remove all spot welds (1). [6x]
  2. Remove all spot welds (2). [9x]

  1. Remove all spot welds (1). [7x]

  1. Drill 6.7 mm (17/64”) hole to remove all spot welds (1). [2x]

  1. Apply heat to shaded area (1) to release adhesive.

  1. Remove wheelhouse panel (1) from the vehicle.
  2. Remove remaining adhesive from vehicle. Installation Procedure

  1. Position wheelhouse panel (1) to vehicle using 3-dimensional measuring equipment.

  1. Drill 6.7 mm (17/64”) hole (1) on wheelhouse panel and vehicle for rivet installation. [4x]

  1. Drill 6.7 mm (17/64”) hole (1) on wheelhouse panel and vehicle for rivet installation. [7x]

  2. Remove the wheelhouse panel (1) from the vehicle.

  3. Prepare all joining surfaces for welding as necessary.

  4. Apply weld-thru coating or equivalent to all welding surfaces. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair

  1. Clean and prepare wheelhouse panel and vehicle for adhesive according to adhesive manufacturer’s recommendations. Metal Panel Bonding
  2. Apply structural adhesive (1) on the mating surfaces of wheelhouse panel and vehicle according to adhesive manufacturer’s recommendations. Metal Panel Bonding

  1. Apply structural adhesive (1) on the mating surfaces of wheelhouse panel and vehicle according to adhesive manufacturer’s recommendations. Metal Panel Bonding

  2. Install wheelhouse panel (1) to vehicle and clamp into place.

  1. Install spot welds (1). [10x]

  3. Apply the sealers and anti-corrosion materials to the repair area as necessary. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair
  1. Paint the repaired area. Basecoat/Clearcoat Paint Systems.
  2. Install all related panels and components.
  3. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  4. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling.
