Rear Side Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)

  1. Rear Side Door Check Link Body Side Bolt (1) » Remove

  1. Mark the location of the rear side door hinges with a grease pencil to aid in alignment during installation.
  2. Support the door before removing the hinge fastener.

  1. With the aid of an assistant, remove the rear side door (1).

  2. Transfer components as necessary. Installation Procedure

  3. With the aid of an assistant, install the rear side door (1).

  4. Align the door hinges with the markings made with the grease pencil.

  1. Rear Side Door Hinge Bolt - Door Side (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Rear Side Door Check Link Body Side Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  3. Connect the electrical connector. (1)

  4. Inspect the door for proper operation and alignment.

  5. If necessary, adjust the rear side door. Rear Side Door Adjustment

  6. Remove the tape.

  7. Remove any remaining adhesive residue with a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water. Wipe the surface dry with a clean lint-free towel.
