1. Front Bumper Fascia (2) » Remove — Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation

2. Apply two layers of masking tape to the painted surface around the top edge of the air inlet grille panel extensions (1) to prevent paint damage.
3. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, carefully release the air inlet grille panel extension clips.

5. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal Retainer (1) » Remove
6. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal (2) » Remove
7. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

8. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Remove [3x]

11. Front Fender Insulator Retainer (1) » Remove
12. Pull the front fender insulator (2) down and out from the front fender.

13. Using the appropriate tool, release the foam insulation on the front compartment side rail baffle (1) from the fender.

14. Front Bumper Fascia Guide Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]

16. Assist Step Bolt (1) @ Rocker Panel » Loosen [3x]

17. Assist Step Bolt (1) @ Rocker Panel » Remove [6x]

18. Slide the assist step (1), out from under the loosened bolts, and remove.

19. Rocker Panel Molding Bolt (1) » Remove

20. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]

21. Using an appropriate trim tool, release the lower rocker panel molding retainers and pull the rocker panel molding (1) away from the body side outer panel.
22. Using an appropriate trim tool, release the upper rocker panel molding retainers and pull the rocker panel molding (1) away from the body side outer panel.

24. Headlamp Bolt (1) » Remove

Note

Apply a double layer of masking tape to the windshield to prevent damaging the windshield.

25. Front Fender Bolt (2) » Remove [3x]
26. Front Fender Bolt (3) » Loosen

28. Front Fender Nut (2) » Remove
29. Headlamp Bolt (3) » Remove

30. Front Fender (1) » Remove Installation Procedure

31. Apply Structural foam 3M™ NVH Dampening Material or Sem Panel Vibration Control Material or equivalent to the front compartment side rail baffle (1).

32. Front Fender (1) » Install

Refer to Fastener Caution.

3. Front Fender Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

4. Front Fender Nut (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

5. Headlamp Bolt (3) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

6. Headlamp Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

7. Front Fender Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

8. Front Fender Bolt (3) » Tighten — Fastener Specifications

9. Position the rocker panel molding (1) to the vehicle and seat the upper rocker panel molding retainers into the body side outer panel.

10. Seat the lower rocker panel molding retainers into the body side outer panel.

11. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

12. Rocker Panel Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

13. Install the assist step (1) under the loosened bolts.

14. Assist Step Bolt (1) @ Rocker Panel » Install and tighten [6x] — Fastener Specifications

15. Assist Step Bolt (1) @ Rocker Panel » Tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

16. Front Bumper Fascia Guide (2) » Install

Note

The final torque on the front bumper fascia guide bolt (1) is to be applied during the front bumper fascia removal and installation procedure.

17. Front Bumper Fascia Guide Bolt (1) » Install and hand tighten [2x]

18. Front Fender Insulator (2) » Install

19. Front Fender Insulator Retainer (1) » Install

20. Front Wheelhouse Liner (1) » Install

21. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

22. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

23. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

24. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal (2) » Install [2x]

25. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal Retainer (1) » Install

26. Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension (1) » Install [2x]

27. Remove the double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces.

28. Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water with a clean towel, remove any left over adhesive residue from the masking tape.
