Sunroof Sunshade Fabric Guide Replacement (Short Wheel Base) Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
  2. Open the sunroof sunshade.
  3. Place the sunroof window in the vent position.

  1. Reposition the sunroof opening trim finish lace to gain access to the bolts.
  2. Sunroof Window Bolt (1) » Remove [6x]
  3. Roof Stationary Window (2) @ Sunroof Window Seal » Disconnect
  4. Roof Stationary Window (2) » Remove

  1. Move the front seat fully forward.
  2. Use a flat bladed plastic tool between the center pillar center trim panel (1) and the center pillar upper trim panel to disengage the upper retaining clips (2).
  3. Pull from both sides of the center pillar center trim panel (1) to release the middle and lower retaining clips (2).

  1. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove [2x]
  2. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Remove [2x]
  3. Pull the center pillar upper trim panel (3) toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retaining clips.
  4. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) » Reposition [2x]

  1. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Reposition

  1. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove [2x]

  1. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  1. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  2. Remove the left and ride side body side rear window garnish molding (1) outwards enough to access the tether fastener.

  1. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
  2. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Remove [2x]

  1. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]

  1. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  1. Place the coat hook (2) in the open position.
  2. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Remove [4x]
  3. Coat Hook (2) » Remove [4x]

  1. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1).

  1. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the cargo center courtesy lamp  (1).

  1. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide Cover (1) » Open [2x]
  2. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Remove [2x]

  1. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Reposition [2x]
  2. Using a suitable trim tool, gently pry and pull downwards on the rear seat belt opening bezel  (2) to release the retaining clip.
  3. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (2) » Remove [2x]

  1. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.
  2. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Remove [2x]
  3. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).

  1. Lower the headlining trim panel (1).

  1. Sunshade Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]

  1. Reposition the sunshade fabric to gain access to the sunroof sunshade fabric guides (1).

  1. Sunroof Sunshade Fabric Guide (1) » Remove [2x] Installation Procedure

  2. Sunroof Sunshade Fabric Guide (1) » Install [2x]

  3. Install the sunshade fabric to original position.

  1. Sunshade Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Headlining Trim Panel (1) » Install

  1. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).
  2. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Install [2x]
  1. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (2) » Install [2x]
  2. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Install [2x]

  1. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide Cover (1) » Close [2x]

  3. Apply pressure upward on the cargo center courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

  4. Apply pressure upward on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

  1. Coat Hook (2) » Install [4x]
  2. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications
  1. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install [2x]
  1. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications
  1. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Install [2x]
  2. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications
  1. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install [2x]
  1. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install [2x]

  1. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install [2x]

  3. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Reposition

  1. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) » Install [2x]
  2. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications
  3. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install [2x]

  1. Align 6 retaining clips (2) with the upper and lower trim panels.

  2. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel (1) » Install [2x]

  3. Roof Stationary Window (2) » Install

  4. Roof Stationary Window (2) @ Sunroof Window Seal » Connect

  5. If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps: 31.1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the component using a lint free cloth. 31.2. Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive. 31.3. Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air. 31.4. Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

  6. Sunroof Window Bolt (1) » Install and hand tighten [6x]

  7. Ensure the proper sunroof window height and opening fit. Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment

  8. Install the sunroof opening trim finish lace.

  9. Close the sunroof window.

  10. Close the sunroof sunshade.

  11. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
