Rear Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement

Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning. Removal Procedure

Warning

Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

1. Rear Side Door Trim » Remove — Rear Side Door Trim Removal and Installation

2. Rear Side Door Trim Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
3. Rear Side Door Pull Handle Bracket (2) » Remove

4. Route the rear side door inside handle cable through hole in rear side door water deflector (1).
5. Rear Side Door Water Deflector (1) » Remove

6. Place the rear side door window in the full up position and tape in place.
7. Rear Side Door Window Regulator Sash Retainer (1) » Release
8. Place the rear side door window regulator in the full down position.

9. Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)

10. Rear Side Door Window Regulator Nut (1) » Remove [4x]

12. Rear Side Door Window Regulator Motor Bolt (1) » Remove [3x]

13. Rear Side Door Window Regulator Motor (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

14. Rear Side Door Window Regulator Motor (2) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

2. Rear Side Door Window Regulator Motor Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

3. Rear Side Door Window Regulator (1) » Install

4. Rear Side Door Window Regulator Nut (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

5. Connect the electrical connector. (1)

6. Place the window regulator sash retainer (1) in the full up position.
7. Remove the tape holding the front side door window in the full up position.

Note

When reinstalling the rear side door water deflector ensure integral locators are installed properly and the rear side door water deflector is secured and leakproof.

8. Route the rear side door inside handle cable through hole in rear side door water deflector (1).

9. Rear Side Door Water Deflector (1) » Install

10. Rear Side Door Pull Handle Bracket (2) » Install

11. Rear Side Door Trim Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

12. Rear Side Door Trim » Install — Rear Side Door Trim Removal and Installation

13. Ensure the window system operates properly.
