Removal Procedure

1. Drain the charge air cooling system. Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling
2. Oil Filler Cap » Remove

3. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) » Remove
4. Intake Manifold Cover (2) » Remove
5. Install the oil filler cap after removal of the intake manifold cover to prevent debris from falling into the engine.

6. Turbocharger Coolant Return Hose Clamp (1) » Disengage [2x] — Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

7. Heater Outlet Hose Clip (2) » Remove

8. Auxiliary Radiator Outlet Hose (3) » Remove Installation Procedure

9. Auxiliary Radiator Outlet Hose (3) » Install

10. Heater Outlet Hose Clip (2) » Install

11. Turbocharger Coolant Return Hose Clamp (1) » Engage [2x] — Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

12. Oil Filler Cap » Remove

13. Intake Manifold Cover (2) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

6. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications
7. Oil Filler Cap » Install
8. Fill the charge air cooling system. Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling
9. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
