  1. Lower the headlining trim panel (1) enough to gain access to the liftgate electrical connectors and washer hose.

  1. Disconnect the washer hose and electrical connector and retainers..
  2. Washer Hose Grommet (1) » Remove
  3. Liftgate Wiring Harness Grommet (2) » Remove

  1. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Reposition

  1. Remove the 2 metal clips at the ends of the liftgate power assist actuator (1).
  2. Liftgate Power Assist Actuator (1) » Reposition

  1. Release the 2 metal clips at each end of the liftgate strut (1).
  2. Liftgate Strut (1) » Remove

  1. Liftgate Hinge Bolt (1) » Remove [4x]

  2. With the aid of an assistant, remove the liftgate. (2)

  3. Transfer components as necessary. Installation Procedure

  4. With the aid of an assistant, install the liftgate. (2)

  1. Liftgate Hinge Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications
  1. Liftgate Power Assist Actuator (1) » Install
  2. Install the 2 metal clips to each end of the liftgate power assist actuator (1).

  1. Liftgate Strut (1) » Install

  2. Install the 2 metal clips at each end of the liftgate strut (1).

  3. Connect the washer hose and electrical connector and retainers..

  4. Liftgate Wiring Harness Grommet (2) » Install

  5. Washer Hose Grommet (1) » Install

  6. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Install
