DTC P0602

Diagnostic Instructions Perform the Diagnostic System Check prior to using this diagnostic procedure: Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle Review the description of Strategy Based Diagnosis: Strategy Based Diagnosis An overview of each diagnostic category can be found here: Diagnostic Procedure Instructions DTC Descriptor Control Module Not Programmed For symptom byte information, refer to Symptom Byte List. Circuit/System Description This diagnostic applies to internal microprocessor integrity conditions within the control module. This diagnostic also addresses if the control module is not programmed. The control module monitors its ability to read and write to the memory. It also monitors a timing function. No external circuits are involved. Conditions for Running the DTC The ignition is ON or the vehicle is in service mode. The system voltage is greater than 9.5 V. Conditions for Setting the DTC The control module detects an internal malfunction or incomplete programming. Action Taken When the DTC Sets DTCs P0602 is a type A DTCs. Conditions for Clearing the DTC DTCs P0602 is a type A DTCs. Diagnostic Aids If stored only as a history DTC and not retrieved as a current DTC, do not replace the control module.   1. Ignition ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Verify no other DTCs are set. ⇒ If any other DTCs are set Refer to: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle ⇓ If no other DTCs are set
  3. Verify DTC P0602 is not set. ⇒ If the DTC is set 3.1. Perform all necessary programming and setup procedures for K160 Brake System Control Module. 3.2. Verify the DTC does not set. ⇒ If the DTC sets, replace the K160 Brake System Control Module. ⇓ If the DTC does not set 3.3. All OK. ⇓ If the DTC is not set
