Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (L84, L87)

Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling
  2. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

  1. { If equipped } Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt - Right Side (1) » Remove

  1. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (1) » Remove
  2. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (2) » Remove [6x]
  3. Reposition the front portion of the right front wheelhouse liner (3) rearward.

  1. Radiator Inlet Hose Clamp (1) » Disengage — Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  2. Radiator Outlet Hose (2) @ Radiator » Remove

  1. Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (1) » Disengage — Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  2. Radiator Outlet Hose (2) @ Water Pump » Remove Installation Procedure

  3. Radiator Outlet Hose (2) @ Water Pump » Install

  4. Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (1) » Engage — Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  5. Radiator Outlet Hose (2) @ Radiator » Install

  6. Radiator Inlet Hose Clamp (1) » Engage — Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  1. Move the front portion of the right front wheelhouse liner (3) into position.
  1. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [6x] — Fastener Specifications
  2. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (1) » Install
  1. { If equipped } Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt - Right Side (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications
  2. Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  3. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling
  4. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
