Circuit/System Description The Seat Adjuster Memory Module monitors the configuration circuit 2452 to determine the placement of the module with in the vehicle. The configuration circuit is a jumper circuit between two terminals of the seat adjuster memory module connector X3. Conditions for Running the DTC Vehicle ON / Vehicle in Service Mode. Battery Voltage 9–16 V Conditions for Setting the DTC B1A65 12 The seat adjuster memory module detects a short to battery on the configuration circuit 2452, which does not correspond to the calibrated module ID. B1A66 11 The seat adjuster memory module detects a short to ground on the configuration circuit 2452, which does not correspond to the calibrated module ID. B1A67 1C The seat adjuster memory module detects a voltage out of range on the configuration circuit 2452, which does not correspond to the calibrated module ID. Action Taken When the DTC Sets The seat adjuster memory module may disable memory, power seat, lumbar, and bolster functions. The seat adjuster memory module may not communicate or program correctly. Conditions for Clearing the DTC The current DTC will clear when the fault is no longer present and when the diagnostic runs and passes. The history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive fault-free Vehicle ON/OFF cycles have occurred. - Vehicle OFF, disconnect the X3 connector at the K40P Passenger Seat Adjuster Memory Module.
- Test for less than infinite resistance between circuit terminal 22 and circuit terminal 23. ⇒ If infinite resistance Repair the open/high resistance in circuit 2452 ⇓ If less than infinite resistance
- Test for infinite resistance between circuit terminal 22 and ground. ⇒ If less than infinite resistance Repair the short to ground on circuit 2452. ⇓ If infinite resistance
- Vehicle ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.
- Test for less than 1 V between circuit terminal 22 and ground. ⇒ If 1 V or greater Repair the short to voltage on circuit 2452. ⇓ If less than 1 V
- Replace the appropriate K40P Passenger Seat Adjuster Memory Module. Repair Instructions Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the repair. Control Module References for K40P Passenger Seat Adjuster Memory Module replacement, programming and setup
