Removal Procedure

Caution

If a vehicle is equipped with a head curtain inflator module ensure that the inflator module and tether are undamaged. If tether or curtain airbag are damaged in any way, they must be replaced.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

1. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1).

2. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the cargo center courtesy lamp (1).

3. Place the coat hook (2) in the open position.
4. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Remove [4x]
5. Coat Hook (2) » Remove [4x]

6. Move both front seats fully forward.
7. Use a flat bladed plastic tool between the center pillar center trim panel (1) and the center pillar upper trim panel to disengage the upper retaining clips (2) on both sides of the vehicle.
8. Pull from both sides of the center pillar center trim panel (1) to release the middle and lower retaining clips (2) on both sides of the vehicle.

Caution

10. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove [2x]
11. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2)» Remove [2x]
12. Pull the center pillar upper trim panel (3) toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retaining clips on both sides of the vehicle.

16. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

21. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

25. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

Note

Feed the rear seat belt opening bezel and rear seat belt through the body lock upper trim panel.

30. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

35. Using a suitable trim tool, gently pry and pull downwards on the rear seat belt opening bezel  (2) to release the retaining clip on both sides of the vehicle.

37. Lower the headlining trim panel (1).

38. Disconnect the rear seat belt mini-latch (1).

41. Feed the 3rd row center seat belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel and the openings in the upper roof structure. Installation Procedure

1. Feed the 3rd row center seat belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel and the openings in the upper roof structure.
2. 3rd Row Center Seat Belt Retractor (2) » Install
3. If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps: 3.1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth. 3.2. Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive. 3.3. Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 3.4. Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.

4. 3rd Row Center Seat Belt Retractor Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

5. Connect the rear seat belt mini-latch (1).

6. Headlining Trim Panel (1) » Install

7. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (2) » Install [2x]

8. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Install [2x]

9. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

10. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide Cover (1) » Close

11. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install

12. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

Note

Position the body side rear window garnish molding tether in the same position as before the molding removal.

14. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install

15. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

16. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

17. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install

18. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

Note

Position the body side rear window garnish molding tether in the same position as before the molding removal.

19. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install

20. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install

21. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

22. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

23. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) » Install [2x]

24. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2)» Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

25. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install [2x]

26. Align the retaining clips (2) with the upper and lower trim panels on both sides of the vehicle.

27. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel (1) » Install [2x]

28. Coat Hook (2) » Install [4x]

29. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

30. Cargo Center Courtesy Lamp (1) » Install

31. Apply pressure upward on the cargo center courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

32. Rear Seat Position Center Reading and Courtesy Lamp - Rear (1) » Install

33. Apply pressure upward on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.
