Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Removal and Installation

Warning

To avoid personal injury, perform a passenger presence sensor rezeroing/ learn on the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction.

Warning

The passenger seat cushion assembly is serviced in a kit with the airbag front passenger presence module, cushion pad (and if equipped, heat mat, vent mat, vent mat support, comfort pads). All components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit and must be replaced as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly. Removal Procedure

1. Front Seat (2) » Remove — Front Seat Removal and Installation

2. Front Seat Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
3. Squeeze the front seat cushion outer finish cover retainer to release it from the seat frame.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Lift the front seat cushion outer finish cover (2) to release it from the front seat cushion cover wire retainer.

7. Release the retaining tabs securing the front seat cushion ventilation blower (1) to the front seat vent fan mat.

8. Remove the retainers holding the front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion frame.
9. Disconnect the electrical connectors and reposition the wiring harness as necessary.
10. Remove the front seat cushion cover and pad (1) as an assembly. Installation Procedure

1. If equipped, ensure both front seat lane departure warning actuators (1) are properly installed in the front seat cushion pad (2) prior to reassembly. Failure to do so may result in an unwanted or undesirable noise during front seat lane departure warning actuator operation.

2. Install the front seat cushion cover and pad (1) as an assembly.

3. Install the retainers holding the front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion frame.

4. Connect the electrical connectors and position the wiring harness.

5. Seat the retaining tabs securing the front seat cushion ventilation blower (1) to the front seat vent fan mat.

6. Connect the electrical connectors.
