Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement

Warning

To avoid personal injury, perform a passenger presence sensor rezeroing/ learn on the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction. Removal Procedure

1. Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad (1) » Remove — Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Removal and Installation

2. Front Seat Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
3. Front Seat Inner Adjuster Front Finish Cover (2) » Remove

4. Front Seat Adjuster Finish Cover Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
5. Front Seat Cushion Cover Retainer (2) » Remove

6. Front Seat Bolt (1) » Remove
7. Front Seat Adjuster Lower Finish Cover (2) » Remove

8. Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.

9. Front Seat Bolt (1) » Remove [4x]

10. Front Seat Cushion Frame (2) » Remove

11. Transfer components as necessary. Installation Procedure

12. Front Seat Cushion Frame (2) » Install

13. If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps: 2.1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth. 2.2. Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive. 2.3. Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 2.4. Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.

3. Front Seat Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

4. Connect and position the wiring harness.

5. Front Seat Adjuster Lower Finish Cover (2) » Install

6. Front Seat Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

7. Front Seat Cushion Cover Retainer (2) » Install

8. Front Seat Adjuster Finish Cover Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

9. Front Seat Inner Adjuster Front Finish Cover (2) » Install

10. Front Seat Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

11. Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad (1) » Install — Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Removal and Installation
