Parking Assist Control Module Replacement (with 9C1)

Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
  2. Place the rear seat in the fold and tumble position.

  1. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  2. Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) » Remove

  1. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Reposition

  1. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  1. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Sleeve (1) » Reposition

  2. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Remove

  1. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

  1. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  2. Pull the body side rear window garnish molding (1) outwards enough to access the tether fastener.

  1. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Remove
  2. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Remove

  1. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Remove

  1. Convenience Net Retainer (1) » Remove
  2. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt Cap (2) » Open
  3. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt (3) » Remove
  4. Cargo Tie Down Loop (4) » Remove

  1. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  2. Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel (1) » Remove

  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1).
  2. Remove the wiring harness retainers (2).

  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  2. Parking Assist Alarm Control Module Nut (1) » Remove [2x]

  3. Parking Assist Control Module (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

  4. Parking Assist Control Module (2) » Install

  1. Parking Assist Alarm Control Module Nut (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Connect the electrical connectors.

  3. Install the wiring harness retainers (2).

  4. Connect the electrical connectors (1).

  5. Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel (1) » Install

  6. Cargo Tie Down Loop (4) » Install

  7. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt (3) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  8. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt Cap (2) » Close

  9. Convenience Net Retainer (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  10. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install

  11. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  12. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Install

  13. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  1. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install

  1. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install

  2. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  3. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

  4. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (1) » Install

  5. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Anchor Plate Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  6. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Sleeve (1) » Reposition

  7. Rear End Trim Finish Panel (1) » Install

  8. Liftgate Lock Striker Cover (1) » Install

  1. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Install

  2. Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) » Install

  3. Return the rear seat to the original position.

  4. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling

  5. Perform the necessary programming and setup procedure: Control Module References
