This information provides repair specifications for Collision repair.

Caution

(High Voltage) Use weld blankets to protect the High Voltage Battery, High Voltage Components, brake lines and any areas that may be harmed by sparks from grinding and welding.

(High Voltage) Maximum paint booth baking temp must not exceed 140˚F (60˚C ) and 30 minutes of bake time

Caution

(Internal Combustion Engine) Use weld blankets to protect the fuel tank, fuel lines, brake lines and any areas that may be harmed by sparks from grinding and welding. Welds mentioned in text and shown in graphics are accurate at the time of publication. Use vehicle being repaired for accurate count and location. If count and location of welds cannot be determined, refer to Service information (SI). Squeeze Type Resistance Spot Welds (STRSW) are recommended if possible. If access to use STRSW is not possible, MIG/MAG 8 mm (5/16 in) plug welds must be used, to replace those specific welds, unless otherwise noted: When structural adhesive (purple) is present STRSW are recommended if possible. If access to use STRSW is not possible then structural rivets must be used. Refer to SI. Removal and installation steps will vary depending on single, multi panel replacement and accessibility. Spot, MIG/MAG welds and structural rivets with 3 or 4 metals stacked up can be completed simultaneously when all panels or components are present.
