Removal Procedure

1. Open the liftgate window.
2. Use a small flat-bladed tool to remove the 2 panel locators (1).
3. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Access Hole Cover(2) » Remove

4. Use the appropriate trim tool to release the liftgate upper center trim finish panel (1) from the liftgate inner panel.
5. Liftgate Upper Center Trim Finish Panel (1) » Remove

6. Use a flat-bladed trim tool to aid in the removal of the liftgate upper side trim finish panels (1) from the liftgate.
7. Liftgate Upper Side Trim Finish Panel (1) » Remove [2x]

8. Use a flat-bladed trim tool to aid in the removal of the rear compartment lid inner panel trim hole plug (1).
9. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Remove
10. Disconnect the electrical connector.
11. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel (3) » Remove

12. Liftgate Side Sensor » Remove [2x]
13. Rear Closure Center Applique Bolt (1) » Remove [6x]

Note

Observe the mounting and location of the grommet to ensure proper reinstallation.

14. Disconnect all electrical connectors.
15. Disconnect the washer hose, If equipped.
16. Rear Closure Center Applique Nut (1) » Remove [10x]
17. Release the retainers.
18. Rear Closure Center Applique (2) » Remove

19. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
20. Disconnect the washer hose.{ If equipped }
21. Rear Closure Center Applique Nut (1) » Remove [2x]
22. Release the retaining tabs.

23. Rear License Plate Lamp (1) » Remove

24. Transfer components as necessary. Installation Procedure

25. Rear License Plate Lamp (1) » Install

26. Ensure the retaining tabs have fully secured and the rear license plate lamp (2) is properly seated.

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

3. Rear Closure Center Applique Nut (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

4. Connect the washer hose.{ If equipped }

5. Connect the electrical connectors.

6. Rear Closure Center Applique (2) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

7. Rear Closure Center Applique Nut (1) » Install and tighten [10x] — Fastener Specifications

8. Connect the washer hose, If equipped.

9. Connect all electrical connectors.

10. Rear Closure Center Applique Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [6x] — Fastener Specifications

11. Liftgate Side Sensor » Install [2x]

12. Connect the electrical connector.

13. Connect the electrical connector.

14. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel (3) » Install

15. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

16. Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Hole Plug(1) » Install

17. Liftgate Upper Side Trim Finish Panel (1) » Install [2x]

18. Liftgate Upper Center Trim Finish Panel (1) » Install

19. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Access Hole Cover(2) » Install

20. Liftgate Trim Finish Panel Locator(1) » Install [2x]

21. Close the liftgate window.
