1. Using the appropriate trim tool, remove the windshield wiper arm finish caps (1) from both windshield wiper arms (3).
2. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) » Remove [2x]
3. Use the J-39822 Wiper Arm Puller to remove the windshield wiper arms (3) from the left and right side windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft.

4. Apply two layers of masking tape to the painted surface around the top edge of the air inlet grille panel extension (1) to prevent paint damage.

Quantity of retainers may vary based on option content.

5. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, carefully release the air inlet grille panel extension clips.

7. Apply two layers of masking tape to the painted surface around the top edge of the air inlet grille panel extension (1) to prevent paint damage.

8. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, carefully release the air inlet grille panel extension clips.

10. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal Retainer (1) » Remove [2x]
11. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal (2) » Remove [2x]

12. Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer (1) » Remove [8x]
13. Disconnect the windshield washer nozzle hose from the windshield washer pump hose.
14. Lift the front edge of the air inlet grille panel (2) and slide the panel forward from both hood hinges to remove.

15. Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (1) » Remove [2x]

16. Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

17. Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector (2) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

2. Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

3. Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) » Install

4. Connect the windshield washer nozzle hose to the windshield washer pump hose.

5. Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer (1) » Install [8x]

6. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal (2) » Install [2x]

7. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal Retainer (1) » Install [2x]

8. Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension - Left Side (1) » Install

Note

Quantity of retainers may vary based on option content.

9. Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension - Right Side (1) » Install
10. Remove the double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces.
11. Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water with a clean towel, remove any left over adhesive residue from the masking tape.
12. Clean the left and right side windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft splines with a soft wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arm (3).

13. Align the windshield wipers to their respective alignment circles (1)  on the windshield.

14. Windshield Wiper Arm (3) » Install [2x]

15. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

16. Lubricate the windshield with clean washer fluid.

17. Run the windshield wipers for two complete cycles then turn off the windshield wipers.

18. Ensure the windshield wipers are in the full park position.

19. If alignment is required, remove the windshield wiper arms and repeat steps 13 through 19 to achieve the proper windshield wiper (3) alignment.
