Starter Heat Shield Replacement (LM2)

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
2. Front Wheelhouse Liner - Right Side » Remove — Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

3. Chassis Front Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (1) » Remove
4. Retainer (2) » Remove [2x]
5. Chassis Front Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (3) » Remove
6. Remove the positive battery cable retainers from the chassis wiring harness front bracket.
7. Chassis Wiring Harness (4) » Reposition

8. Starter Heat Shield Bolt (3) » Remove [2x]
9. Disengage the starter heat shield (2) from the retainer (1) .

10. Starter Heat Shield (1) » Remove Installation Procedure

11. Starter Heat Shield (1) » Install

2. Engage the starter heat shield (2) into the retainer (1).

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

3. Starter Heat Shield Bolt (3) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

4. Chassis Wiring Harness (4) » Install

5. Install the positive battery cable retainers to the chassis wiring harness front bracket.

6. Chassis Front Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (3) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

7. Retainer (2) » Install [2x]

8. Chassis Front Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

9. Front Wheelhouse Liner - Right Side » Install — Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

10. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
