1. Front floor console compartment cooler = Inoperative

Circuit/System Description The front floor console compartment cooler functions with the ignition ON. There is 1 switch signal circuit which controls the cooler after the ignition ON. The other signal circuit is for the indicator. The front floor console compartment cooler has a switch which turns on a LED when the front floor console compartment cooler is commanded on. Conditions for Running the DTC Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode Conditions for Setting the DTC B1B35 00 Circuit 7844= Short to ground Actions Taken When the DTC Sets Front floor console compartment cooler= Disabled Conditions for Clearing the DTC A current DTC will clear when the diagnostic runs and passes. A history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles.   1. Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode
  2. Operate the component: S145 Beverage Cooler Switch » Pressed Verify the front floor compartment cooler LED indicator light activates. ⇒ If the cooler does not activate Refer to: Circuit/System Testing ⇓ If the cooler activates
  3. A fault is not currently present and may be an intermittent condition Circuit/System Testing
  4. Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode
  5. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K175 Front Floor Console Compartment Cooler
  6. Connect a test lamp between the signal circuit terminal 6 and B+
  7. Operate the component: S145 Beverage Cooler Switch » Pressed
  8. Verify the test lamp state: Not Pressed = Test lamp Off Pressed = Test lamp On ⇒ If the test lamp is always Off 5.1. Ignition OFF, remove the test lamp, disconnect the harness connector at the S145  Beverage Cooler Switch 5.2. Test for infinite resistance between the circuit 7844 and ground. ⇒ If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit. ⇓ If infinite resistance 5.3. Test for less than 2 Ω in the circuit 7844 end to end. ⇒ If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit. ⇒ If less than 2 Ω, replace the S145 Beverage Cooler Switch ⇓ If the test lamp turns On and Off
