  1. Apply masking tape over the outside rearview mirror glass (1).

  1. Apply pressure inward at the top of the outside rearview mirror glass (1) until full travel is reached.

  1. Firmly grasp the outer bottom edge of the outside rearview mirror glass (1).

  1. Retaining pressure on the outside rearview mirror glass (1), pull outward until the outside rearview mirror glass is released from the outside rearview mirror actuator (2).
  2. Disconnect all electrical connectors.

  1. Front Side Door Trim (3) » Remove — Front Side Door Trim Removal and Installation

  1. Outside Rearview Mirror Nut Access Hole Plug (1) » Remove
  2. Disconnect all electrical connectors.
  1. Outside Rearview Mirror Nut (2) » Remove [3x]

  2. Outside Rearview Mirror Housing (3) » Remove

  3. Transfer components as necessary. Installation Procedure

  4. Outside Rearview Mirror Housing (3) » Install

  1. Outside Rearview Mirror Nut (2) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Connect all electrical connectors.

  3. Outside Rearview Mirror Nut Access Hole Plug (1) » Install

  4. Front Side Door Trim (3) » Install — Front Side Door Trim Removal and Installation

  5. Connect all electrical connectors.

  6. Carefully align the outside rearview mirror glass (1) retainers with the outside rearview mirror actuator (2).

  7. Place one hand on the back of the mirror housing and carefully apply pressure to outside rearview mirror glass (1) until outside rearview mirror glass is fully secured.

  8. Remove the masking tape from the outside rearview mirror glass (1).

  9. Inspect the outside rearview mirror for proper operation.
